I have been a Social Worker for over 24 years and 10 of those years have been as a Clinical Social Worker. I am licensed in both Ohio and North Carolina to provide psychotherapy. Additionally, I am a Certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist able to provide grief care in the US and internationally through the Grief Recovery Institute. I have co-author two articles that have been published. I wrote a white paper and presented it to AMEDD Center & School "The Human Dimension Project: Reducing Suicide".

I earned both of my degrees in North Carolina after my honorable discharge from the military . At Campbell University I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and at Fayetteville State University I earned my Master in Social Work degree. Along with the degrees I have hundreds of hours of continuing education, certifications, trainings and experiences that have given me the knowledge and ability to serve others. I have years of experience working with trauma, losses and grief in many forms. I have worked with clients as young as 7 and as old as 82 years of age.

I have worked as a Veteran and served in the US Army for 14 glorious years. Then afterwards, as a Social Worker, I have continued to serve the Military /Veteran population in many capacities. I understand the culture and unique challenges that are often faced on a daily basis. Stress and Adjustment are a part of military life...constantly.

Many years ago, I was encouraged to select a word or emblem that had meaning to me. I chose the Butterfly. The Butterfly represents Change. Therefore, as a provider I try to provide hope to my clients. I meet my clients where they are on their journey. We select an appropriate evidence-based therapy together, use creativity when needed, and active listening always to assist them as they make the changes to find the capacity for calmness, ability to connect to others and their pursuit for happiness.
